Research Project Idea!!!!!

     Have you ever wondered during elections, why people vote for the person they do? I mean aside from what the candidate is offering or says they will offer to society. I know I haven't until when I was researching Psychology and Politics online and found some interesting studies. I found this idea that people don't solely vote for their candidate based of off their political stances, but also on a certain religious stance. Have more information I need to gather. But, I decided to expand my research more and found that it is known that some politicians have a disorder called, Narcissistic Personality Disorder. This is basically when people are very cunning, manipulative, and cocky/confident in their demeanor; and lets face it most politicians have these qualities.  

    So based off of the little bit of information I gathered thus far, I decided to approach my sociology research project with two forms of research incorporated together. I will basically be doing Archival Research, which is just taking articles that have already been published about my topic and then expanding with other articles or any other documents that have been published. This will allow me to back up my topic. But another important research method that I will be doing is a survey. I still need to figure out how I want to approach the survey. Right now I am thinking of asking people of all ages questions that will allow me to see who they would vote for based off of certain questions. The questions will not just pertain politics, some will be about random things. As you can see, this is all needs to be organized a bit more. For now though, these two research methods together will help me get ideas and more info about how and why people vote for the person they do. Then when I send out the surveys I can see for myself who people voted for based off the questions I gave them, and this could either make or break my idea. Hopefully it will make it, or else this whole post would be awkward. Hahahahaha
